A student project initiated and supervised by me at the Interactive Systems Lab of the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2012. Students were asked to outfit a traditional table football table with Arduino-style sensors and PC hardware in order to automatically detect goals, track the currently active players (e.g. using RFID or face recognition) and post results on Facebook. I designed circuit boards for several electronic components of the foosball table such as the LED bars, along with an accompanying software library based upon the .NET Micro Framework.
